Dog Walkers
Why not have a day out at the rescue, we are set in the beautiful countryside with some lovely walks in the area. It can be a family weekend walk or just a few friends wanting some fresh air and exercise! We are always looking for people to help walk our dogs, mornings and afternoons. Children are very welcome as long as they are with an adult if under the age of 16. We will look forward to seeing you soon.
Foster Homes Needed!
We would love to rescue more dogs/cats! If you can help by opening up your home and heart to a foster dog/cat, please click on the link to see the NCAR Fostering Program. This program is for the animals who have been at the rescue for a long period of time, who would love to see a new environment even if you can't keep them for long, every little helps!
Adopt A Kennel
Many charities offer an opportunity to sponsor an animal but as our aim is to re-home all our animals, we hoped people might sponsor our kennels. We have estimated how much it costs to run each kennel, cat cabin & rabbit pen each year, but obviously we don't anticipate many people wanting to sponsor a whole kennel. Therefore, we have divided the cost of each kennel and cat cabin into 10 shares and each rabbit pen into 4 shares.
So for the following you could help all the animals that occupy your sponsored kennel.
£5 per month for a kennel,
£4.00 per month for a cat cabin
£3.00 per month for a rabbit pen
As an adopter of one of the kennels, cabins or pens here at North Clwyd Animal Rescue you will have:

Regular updates on who has occupied your kennel
Copies of our newsletters and brochure of events
"200 Club"
Will you help us make it a "200 Club"?
The 200 club is a way of supporting North Clwyd Animal Rescue while at the same time qualifying for monthly draws of cash sums.
Each member of the "200" club pays just £1 per month and a draw takes place with a
1st prize of £25.00 and 2nd prize of £15.00.
The remaining money is then used towards the running costs of the sanctuary.
Fundraising
We are always in need of help in the fundraising department. If you have experience as a fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, we can use your help. If you would like to organize a fundraising event, we would love to hear from you!. Any ideas are welcome. We also need help with flyer circulation announcing special events -- posting them and keeping them current.

We are an animal charity called North Clwyd Animal Rescue we help 100's of homeless animals each year find new home with lovely families across Wales and the North West.
We are looking for young volunteers (Roughly aged 18 - 30) who are able to think of fresh fundraising ideas to help this fantastic charity raise much needed funds.
You will be part of a team, who will meet up every month for an informal chat to suggest new exciting ideas of how to fundraise.
We will be branching out to the younger audience within schools soon,

Agility Equipment
North Clwyd Animal Rescue needs agility equipment.
We have many dogs at are rescuecentre who would benefit from agility training, as many of them arecollies.We have got agility trainers who are willing to give their time to us, tohelp our rescue dogs, but we want to invest in some equipment,unfortunatelyas we are a charity, it is hard for us to raise these funds.
If anyone can offer us any equipment foradiscount price, your name can be advertised on the equipment etc. We have no government funding what so ever,themoney we raise entirely through fundraising events and kind donations.Agility equipment would make a great deal of difference for the dogs attherescue; it would give them enjoyment, whilst they were at the kennels,untilthey find their new homes.

We are always in need of Tombola, Raffle prizes for our Open Days throughout the year, so if you have had any unwanted gifts from Birthdays, or Christmas, please donate them to the rescue and we will be very grateful, however small or big they will always come in use, so please don't throw them out, donate them to our Charity.
Any Businesses or Companies who would like to donate any larger gift/ prizes, which can be used at our Charity Auctions would be fantastic. We find it hard to supply these events with prizes which are worth a reasonable amount, so that people can bid for them and help raise much needed funds for the rescue. We have had Football and Rugby shirts donated in the past, and anything signed by a famous singer, actor, sporting hero etc, or anything to do with animals, such as dog training vouchers, accessories etc. We would be very grateful for anything you can offer in this range of products. Please Donate Food and Toys
We always need food and toys for the animals at the rescue, and as you can imagine it costs a lot to feed the Dogs, Cats and Rabbits.
A any one time we usually hold up to:-
80 - 90 Dogs 40 - 50 Cats 20 - 30 Rabbits
So you can help us by donating a few tins, dried food bags or toys when you would like to.
Dogs and Puppies
We usually feed the dogs and puppies on complete dried foods and tins, such as 'Bakers', 'Pedigree Chum', 'Winolot', 'Chappie', or 'Supadog'.
Cats and Kittens
We usually feed the cats and kittens on dried foods and tins, such as 'Felix', 'Go-Cat', or 'Whiskers'.
Rabbits and Guinea-pigs
We feed the rabbits and guinea- pigs various foods and carrots, cabbages and apples are always handy!
Other Things we need
Shredded paper, newspapers, sawdust, blankets, beds, brushes, toys, leads and collars etc.
Event Volunteers
We desperately need help from any volunteers, who are willing to set up tables and stalls for events at the rescue. It does take a lot of organizing these events and we never have enough hours in the day. So please let us know if you can give us an few hours of your time. Please call 0870 8507151

Volunteers Needed
Have you got spare time? Would you like to spend time volunteering in our Charity shops?
We have four Charity shops in local towns, which we always need help in from time to time, they are in: -
Prestatyn
Abergele
Connah's Quay
Denbigh
Colwyn Bay
If you are able or willing to spend a few hours a week in any of these shops we will be very grateful, we really need these shops to keep the rescue going, but it is very hard to find volunteers to give up there time to help the animals.

We always need shreaded paper for the dogs beds and I'm sure you can image with roughly 80 - 90 dogs at the rescue we go through a fare amount, so if you have any at home or at your work, we would really appriciate it if you could bring it to the rescue, where we will always get use out of it.
Never throw your old used newspapers in the bin as here at the rescue we always need them for the cats or the puppies at the rescue, again we use so much newspaper, we are always running out, so please bring it up to the rescue instead of throwing it away.
We are trying to get all our supporters e-mail addresses, so that we can send newsletters via email. This will be a short newsletter of all recent events within a 2 month period. So please send us your email address via our email animalrescue@btconnect.com This feature will be up and running as soon as we receive enough email addresses.
Thanks to everyone who Sponsored our Christmas Dinner Appeal We would like to Thank everyone who gave a donation to the Christmas Dinner Appeal. We raised £870 so far, and donations are still coming in.
It's not just Christmas, that the animals need feeding , we have to raise money all year to be able to buy food for the animals and also to keep the rescue running. we do this by fundraising and kind donations from our supporters, we don't receive any public funding. So we really do appreciate any donations we receive.
