Dog Homecheckers Appeal
Are you a dog lover, who has some spare time to help our charity out, as a volunteer?
If so we need your help to do some dog homechecks in your area.
One of our adoption policies is to do a home check before the dog goes to live in their new home, we also do this for cats
(so if you are a cat lover then please click here).
We like to make sure that the home is safe, garden is secure, not too close to a very busy road and the living environment is right for one of rescue dogs.
So we are on the search for dog home checkers, I hear you asking
"what will it involve?"
Well it's simple really we will occasionally call you to ask if you are able to visit a home in your area, to see if it is suitable, we will give you the necessary
training, information and advice that is required and really thats all it is! Simple!
So if you think you can help us, please let us know, you can contact us by email on
reception@ncar.org.uk or call us on 01745 560546 we look forward to hearing from you soon.
We really appreciate your support!

Priceless! |
We always do a homecheck on every dog which is adopted from the rescue. We need to make sure the garden is secure, that the home is suitable for a dog, and that you don't live next to a main road where the dog may be injured.
The adoption process shouldn't take much more than a week to be completed, homecheck included,
(this may vary by location).
* Please note - if you express an interest in an animal on this site, this does not mean you have reserved this animal - it only means that an interest has been noted on their notes - it still means you have to come to our rescue in person to see the animal
"From 1st October we now have a new policy that we cannot rehome any "stray animals" with any children under 5 years old, but we can rehome certain dogs with families if we know their previous history and have been brought in with a family."
Please don't forget to visit our foster animals, as you may find your perfect match!
We have now separated our dogs into groups - Please click on the links below to see your prefered size or age.
