Sticky Dogs

Sticky Dogs at NCAR - Can you help us with this urgent appeal. We have so many animals up at the rescue at the minute - so we have launched this appeal to show off our Sticky dogs - these dogs are so lovely but they have minor issues or because of no fault of their own ended up in our rescue. - So can you give them a special home??
All these dogs seem to bypassed when it comes to our rehoming book - don't ask me why! - but they have started to become more like the wallpaper of the book as  they don't jump of the page like others! - So if you are a patient person, who wants to give one of these dogs a home, who is willing to go that extra mile to make sure that these dogs find their forever home and will put up with a few minor problems at the start then you are the people we need to find - as these dogs are waiting for you - so please come and see us soon!!
Please email Nicky or Karen if you would like to find out any more info  or if you would be willing to take on any of these dogs - nickyowen@ncar.org.uk or karen@ncar.org.uk
These are just 5 examples of sticky dogs at NCAR we do have many more - so please visit this page on a monthly basis to see others that need your help! - If you would like to see the animals that are looking for homes at our rescue centre please click here to read more!

Frank

FrankFrank is a very scared older (10+) male Jack Russell who came to the rescue as a stray. Frank is looking for a loving new home where he can have company. He does not require much walking as he has got quite stiff legs so little meanders are more than enough. He is very timid and does flinch with fast hand movements so who knows what may have happened to him prior coming to us. Frank is such a great little chap who really deserves a loving home.

Bruno - Darcey

Bruno-Darcey

Bruno- Darcey is a young male staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. He is very friendly and cuddly and has a little bit of cheek about him. He is very fun to be around and enjoys being kept occupied with toys, he does chew his lead a little but this is very easily stopped. He is fairly inconsistent with other dogs, some he seems to be ok with and others not so much. When walking on the lead he tends to just ignore them so no issues there. A great little chap who will make a warm addition to a home.

Strider

Strider

Strider is a lab cross, approximately 6-7yrs. He is one of our more well established residents and is looking for a very special owner. Strider can be unsure of new faces and takes a little while to trust. Once he has gained confidence in a person his fantastic full of life character shines through- his labrador traits becoming evident-retrieving balls and enjoying a good swim.

Ultimately, Strider is looking for an experienced owner who has the time and patience to input. A home with no children is a must as he needs a calm environment where he can build his confidence.

Give Strider time and with structured, positive guidance be rewarded with a truley awsome, intelligent, affectionate companion.

Tegan

Tegan

Tegan is a striking male saluki cross who came to the rescue as a stray. Tegan is only quite young so will require a home where he has lots of play and stimulation. He seems ok around other dogs but perhaps may be more suited to living with canine companions of a similar size. We think Tegan has possibly been worked and we therefore would not home him with cats or other small pets. Other than this a sweet, affectionate and happy go lucky boy.

Minty

Minty

Minty is a gorgeous brown and white cross breed who came to the rescue as a stray. He is a bouncy chap and a tad strong on the lead at first. However he is also super friendly and just loves having his belly rubbed! We have yet to test Minty with other dogs but will be looking to do so during his stay with us. A happy chap who will have his paws under the table in no time!
