Ali
Ali is a fab tan staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Strangley enough Ali came in with a description of him hidden inside his pet tag. It advised that he is housetrained, great with children, but not too keen on other dogs or cats. Of course we can't take this information as reliable so would advise a home with older children only. He has been a friendly happy boy since being with us and has even tolerated us giving him daily medication to clean his ears. Ali must be homed as the only pet as he does not get on well with other dogs

Arnie
Cross breed, brindle & white, 1-2 years old approx, MALE
Arnie is a very high energy chap who will need plenty of regular exercise and a good dose of challenging play to keep him occupied. You will never describe Arnie as shy, timid or nervous. He can be very forward with any other dog and will shout back as loud as they do if they should choose to when passing him; we have yet to mix him closely with other dogs. He loves the fuss he gets from people and will need strong leadership to keep him in check. Ever restless, Arnie will make a special companion for a highly committed owner.

Binxs
Binxs is a young male staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Binxs is a little shy at first but great once he gets to know you. He has yet to be tested with other dogs but is not a big fan of cats so would need a home without feline companions. He is a stunning boy who we hope will not be with us for too long.

Boss
Boss is a very sweet ten year old staffie who came to the rescue in a rather poor condition being quite underweight. Boss is a sweet boy who would make an ideal companion for those looking for a lower energy dog. As boss came to us as a stray we are looking for a home with older children as little ones would be too much for him. A boy who we hope will find a home soon as he really does not enjoy kennel life.

Bruno-Darcey
Bruno- Darcey is a young male staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. He is very friendly and cuddly and has a little bit of cheek about him. He is very fun to be around and enjoys being kept occupied with toys, he does chew his lead a little but this is very easily stopped. He is fairly inconsistent with other dogs, some he seems to be ok with and others not so much. When walking on the lead he tends to just ignore them so no issues there. A great little chap who will make a warm addition to a home.

Carrie - Foster Ot Adopt Me
Carrie is a five and a half year old small Border Collie who is looking for a rather special home. Carrie is very nervous especially with strangers. Being in a kennel environment is not helping her and we feel in a home she will settle more quickly. Carrie is very frightened of people touching her which can make getting her lead off a somewhat challenge. We have found a way around this which Carrie is getting used to. Although we were advised Carrie was good with other dogs she has not been very tolerant with her kennel companions so we are looking for a home ideally as the only pet. A lovely lady who will take some time to settle but we are sure the benefit gained from her would be worth it.

Cindy - Foster Me
Cindy is a quiet and loveable Border collie. She comes across as a very calm and placid dog and so she would suit a quiet home. She does come across as a little shy at first but with a little bit of time and tlc she soon gains trust and grows in confidence. Cindy does have some health problems and does have occasional fits. She will need a home where she can be frequently checked and be given any medication she needs. She is a happy dog who enjoys meandering around the garden. She socialises well with other dogs and could live with a quiet calm dog. It is estimated that Cindy is aged between four and six.

Conan
Conan is a young black and white staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Conan is a very friendly boy who welcomes human contact and relishes affection. Conan has yet to be tested with dogs off lead but shows little interest when passing on lead. He is a tad strong on lead but with a little training this can easily be corrected. A handsome chap who will make a great companion.

Conrad
Conrad is a young male cross breed who came to the rescue as a stray. On arrival Conrad was very nervous, he has come out of his shell somewhat now though. He is a likable chap who has yet to be tested with other dogs but we will be doing so during his stay with us.

Dan
Dan is a middle aged black staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Dan is a friendly chap who craves fuss and affection. Dan gets on quite well with other dogs so may be suitable to live where there are other dogs living. He is always very eager to come from his kennel and walks quite well on the lead. a happy chap who will make an excellent companion.

Del
Del is a four to five year old crossbreed who is one of our more established residents and is in desperate need of a quiet home. Del is a nervous boy who takes a little time to gain trust. Once he knows you Del is a fun and playful boy who loves long walks and playing in the paddock. Del’s main issue is that he feels he needs to protect his owner, this is easily overcome simply by showing Del that you are in control and that he does not need to do this. He is a great boy that has sadly been at the rescue for too long leading to the development of this issue. With consistent ground rules and guidance and a nice new home Del will make a fantastic companion. A home without children would be needed for this boy.

Fernando
Fernando is a young male staffie who is a tad shy but friendly. Fernando lacks confidence and will need some help in this area to help build his confidence. He loves to be with people and welcomes fuss and affection. He has developed the habit of chewing his lead on walks so will need a little training on lead. A great boy with huge potential.

Fred
Fred is a four and a half year old collie who requires an experienced owner of the collie breed. He is a little untrusting of affection from strangers so anyone interested in him would be asked to make several visits to help build a bond before homing. He has the potential to make a fantastic companion he just needs a calm and friendly owner. He mixes quite well with other dogs and particularly likes the ladies. Once trust is established he is the sweetest boy, he does need a help in the training department and to be shown that cars do not need to be chased. Fred will do anything for a tennis ball so this can be used as a reward in training. A home without children or cats would be needed. A great boy looking for a special home where he can show off his brilliant character.

George
George is a male Border Collie who is around 6 years old, we suspect he may have once worked for a living. He's typical of the breed in that he craves something to occupy and stimulate him - and plenty of exercise too ! One of his hobbies is to fetch footballs or tennis balls and drop them about 10ft away from you to throw again - waiting or lying down focused entirely on you and the ball. He'll even bring them a bit closer until you take the hint. An intelligent boy who is wary of strangers, he needs a quiet home with a patient owner who will allow George to slowly build his trust. Once trust is established George is very sweet and affectionate and loves human company. A home without children is a must.

Holly
Holly is a six year old Border collie cross who was returned to us some time ago after showing a dislike to the postman. Holly is an intelligent dog who has had lots of training. She knows most agility training and picks up new commands and words very quickly. Holly is a little unsure of strangers and constantly looks to her handler for reassurance. Her behaviour with other dogs varies and we would advise a home as the only pet and without children. She is also very affectionate and loves attention. Holly is a truly wonderful dog who just needs a confident owner who can guide her in a positive way. She will make the right person an amazing companion.

Humbug
Humbug is a very likeable Staffie. He originally came into us as a stray and has since been rehomed but returned to the rescue due to showing issues with strangers when giving him affection. Humbug does love a fuss and is very inquisitive. . He will need exercising regularly - twice a day - and of course time for play would further enrich his life although he will probably be quite a tough player. Humbug will make a good companion for anyone drawn to these chunky dogs : ) but a home with no children is a must.

Jackie
Cross breed, brindle, 1-2 years old, FEMALE
Jackie is a live wire who has shown us to be a very clever or canny canine. She does love the attention of people but unfortunately also likes to indulge in a game of catch-me-if-you-can. Coming back to you when called is currently something she has an aversion to and she will need training in this department. Who knows, perhaps coming back to her owner has not had a positive outcome in the past or she simply likes the chase. In her favour, she is young enough to respond to training very well. She has also showed a slightly immature reaction to other dogs. Jackie will make a fine companion but needs a patient and committed owner to help her develop.

Kodi
Kodi is a middle aged staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Kodi is a super friendly chap who relishes cuddles. We have not as yet tested Kodi with other dogs but will be doing so during his stay. Kodi cannot be homed with cats as he is not too keen on them. A great boy who will make an excellent companion.

Kyle
Kyle is a young male red coloured staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Kyle is a friendly boy but is really not enjoying kennel life, spending a lot of time crying! He will make an excellent companion for the right home. Coming to us as a stray we would advise a home with older children. We have yet to test Kyle with other dogs but will be looking to do so during his stay.

Lady
Lady is a ten year old Lurcher who came to us after her owner passed away. Typical of the breed, Lady has a calm-placid nature about her and carries instant appeal. She is fine with other dogs, is house-trained, has lived with young children (aged 4 and 5) and been treated to a saucer of tea occasionally ! (*). We are not sure whether she will run away from or run after cats. She will of course appreciate regular walks out and about and maybe the opportunity to run loose and free - but only after she's settled in of course : )

Leo
Leo is an eighteen month old lurcher cross who was very nervous when he came into us. He is now growing in confidence and is happiest when in the company of other dogs He still can be quite unsure of new people and can therefore not be homed with children. Due to this we feel he would be more suited to a home with at least one other dog. With further socialisation Leo will make a fantastic companion.

Staffie-boxer type, brindle & white, 7-8 years old approx, MALE
Leon is an absolutely lovely boy who loves his long walks and a good fuss. He recently came back to us because his owners' circumstances had changed it was through no fault of his own. Leon is looking for a quiet home without children or other dogs where he can have lots of fuss. He really is a great boy and has been with us for such a long time, he is desperate for a home he can call his own.

Luna is a young female cross breed who came to the rescue as a stray. Luna is a super friendly girl but can be quite shy at first. We are yet to test her behaviour towards other dogs but will be looking to do so during her stay with us. A great girl who is a stunning but does pull some funny faces for the camera, not the most photogenic of ladies!

Minty
Minty is a gorgeous brown and white cross breed who came to the rescue as a stray. He is a bouncy chap and a tad strong on the lead at first. However he is also super friendly and just loves having his belly rubbed! We have yet to test Minty with other dogs but will be looking to do so during his stay with us. A happy chap who will have his paws under the table in no time!

Ned
Staffordshire Bull Terrier, tan & white, MALE, appox 2 years old.
Ned is your typical staffie who has bags of energy. He loves going out for long regular walks. Also he just likes being in the presence of people whether he is sat down by your feet or in the field chasing the ball . Being the young chap he is, he would benefit from some training which would just give him a job to keep him occupied. Ned is not too good with other dogs but just ignores them so would need to be homed as the only pet.

Parker
Parker is a friendly young white staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. This boy is a very happy chap who welcomes fuss and affection and seems to take life in his stride. Parker is a fairly placid boy with a really sweet nature about him. He is a little strong on lead so may need a little guidance in this area. Other than this a fantastic chap.

Pin
Pin is a medium size Shepherd cross who came into the rescue as a stray. Pin is rather eager on the lead and strong too so needs a handler used to walking larger dogs. He is however very friendly and does enjoy fuss once he has had a good meander around and satisfied his curiosty. He has yet to be tested off lead with other dogs but does seem to show little attention to dogs when passing on lead.

Robbie
Robbie is a very cheeky little brindle staffie who came to the rescue with some unusual scarring across his back. It looks like he has possibly been scalded at some point and although the scars are healed his fur is unlikely to grow back in patches. Despite him going through some sort of ordeal at some point in his life he is remarkably happy and confident and welcomes fuss and affection. Robbie does not seem overly keen on other dogs so may be more suited as being the only pet.

Saffy
Saffy is a young female cross breed who initially came to the rescue as a stray. Saffy was homed but returned after several months for mouthing and grabbing the younger child. Saffy loves walks so will appreciate a home where she gets lots of outings to burn off her energy. She is a loving and warm dog but would be suited to a home without younger children, sensible teenagers may be ok. Saffy is housetrained but has had the odd accident in her basket at night. She is not too keen on cats so would require a home without moggies. She is unsure of other dogs, barking at some and ignoring others.

Sasha
Sasha is a four year old (approx) female Tri colour collie who was abandoned in boarding kennels with her daughter Maisy. Her daughter has now found a home but Sasha is still looking for her forever home. Sasha is quite timid at first so would need a quiter home without children. Ideally we would love Sasha to go to a home where there is another dog and she enjoys company. A home where there is someone in a lot would be ideal too. A loving dog who once familiar with you is very affectionate.

Sasha
Sasha is a middle aged crossbreed who came to us as a stray, she has now been at the rescue for over a year as some find her not as attractive as some of our other dogs. She appears to have the look of an English Bull Terrier about her and a character also with similarities to other English Bulls we've seen. She's a lively and very playful lady with a keen interest in chasing balls of any size although with a mischevious reluctance to give them up for you. She likes a fuss but is more interested in playing ball. Sitting on command and for a treat is fine; recall is not so fine and this will need working on. Sasha can be a big softy at times and when relaxed shows her more gentle side. With other dogs she is generally good as long as they show good manners towards her

Shane
Shane is a young Sharpei cross lab who came to the rescue as a stray in a terrible condition. Shane was painfully thin on arrival and we are slowly trying to build up his weight. With people Shane is very friendly and enjoys fuss, however Shane does have some issues around other dogs and is happy to bark at them as he walks past. With time and further socialising we are hoping he mellows somewhat around other dogs. A great boy who with some tlc will make a great companion.

Star
Star is a rather beautiful young white staffie who came to the rescue with severely infected injuries to her face. The injuries had been left untreated and initially we thought she may lose her ear as it was so heavily infected. With lots of tlc and numerous clean ups and vets trips Star is on the mend. This lady truly has one of the best temperaments and has put up with daily very painful treatment and has never once shown as much as a whimper. Star will make the right person a fantastic companion.

Stella
Stella is a charming two year old collie cross who came to the rescue as a stray. Stella has been in to us before so we do have some information from her previous owner. We are advised that Stella is a super friendly lady who is used to children. We have yet to test Stella with other dogs but will be looking to do so during her stay with us. Hiwever she is not too fond of cats. Being part collie she will enjoy lots of long walks and would benefit from lots of stimulating play.

Strider
Strider is a lab cross, approximately 6-7yrs. He is one of our more well established residents and is looking for a very special owner. Strider can be unsure of new faces and takes a little while to trust. Once he has gained confidence in a person his fantastic full of life character shines through- his labrador traits becoming evident-retrieving balls and enjoying a good swim.
Ultimately, Strider is looking for an experienced owner who has the time and patience to input. A home with no children is a must as he needs a calm environment where he can build his confidence.
Give Strider time and with structured, positive guidance be rewarded with a truley awsome, intelligent, affectionate companion.

Susan is a very sweet young boxer cross who came to the rescue as a stray. Susan is very friendly and greets everyone he meets with lots of enthusiasm. Taff
Taff is a seven year old chocolate Labrador who was signed over to the rescue with his friend Ted as their owner was moving away. They are very friendly boys who are used to children, get on well with other dogs and have lived with cats, although we are advised they can chase a little at first. Taff and Ted would love homes together but can be homed separately as long as they are homed with another dog.

Tasha
Tasha is a four to five year old black and white staffordshire bull terrier who came to the rescue as a stray. Tasha is a calm lady yet still has that cheeky staffie charm. Tasha is fairly tolerant of other dogs and certainley shows no problems when off lead, however we feel she may be more suited to being the only pet. Tasha has been with us for nearly a year now and not one single person has looked at her. If you are looking for a loving, Devoted, friendly and loyal dog, Tasha is the lady for you.

Terri
Terri is a very sweet 3 year old staffie cross. Having come into us as a stray she seems bewildered by her new environment. She is such a lovely girl and we are sure in a home she will find her feet much more quickly. Terris is ok with other dogs but needs a home as the only pet as can be a little protective over her food around other animals. A home with older children would be advised as little noisy ones would be too much for her. A fantastic lady who needs lots of tlc and cuddles.

Tez
Tez is a young male boxer cross staffie who came to the rescue as a stray. Tez was very nervous on his first day with us but has quickly come around and is a sweet and friendly boy. A home with older children would be advisable as we have no history on him. We have yet to test Tez with other dogs but will be looking to do so during his stay with us.

Vic
Vic is a middle aged border collie who came to the rescue as a stray. Vic is a very scared fellow and is terrified of his new environment. Vincent
Vincent is a young tan and white staffie who came in to us via the dog warden. Vincent has huge charm and is a total fuss pot. He has had no lead training and is a bit of a handful at first. He does settle down but anyone interested in him would need to do some heel work with him. We have yet to test Vincent off lead with other dogs, he pays some interest when passing on lead but this seems to be more curiosity than anything else. Vincent is toy mad, but they last about two minutes, so anyone looking at him may need to buy and endless supply! A lovable cheeky chappy who will make the right person a wonderful companion.

Yazmin
Yazmin is a middle aged female staffordshire bull terrier who was signed over to the rescue through no fault of her own. She is very friendly and her previous owner advised us that she is used to being around children. She does not like other dogs but seems to ignore cats. She is a happy go lucky girl who takes life in her stride.

Zena
Zena is an 11 year old female staffie who was sadly returned to the rescue as her owners had a baby and were concerned as the child was grabbing at Zena a lot. Information provided by her previous owner’s state she is a fantastic dog who is very friendly, she may be suitable for homing with slightly older children. Zena is housetrained and enjoys going out in the car. Zena needs a home as the only pet as she is not too keen on cats and would prefer not to live with another dog.
