Alfie
Alfie is an impressive young mastiff. As with any dog of this age, he is playful and full of exuberance. He will need a lot of input . Exercise and stimulation will be a must for Alfie. In addition to socialisation and basic rules, all vital with a dog of this age. It would be ideal if Alfie could be rehomed with an owner who has had previous mastiff or large breed experience. Alfie cannot be homed with children. He has potential to live with another dog and this may be of some guidance for him. He has been mixed at the rescue with other dogs and shows at times boisterous, but playful behaviour. Alfie is a truly fabulous dog who is at an age where with intelligent and thoughtful input from a committed person, will make an awesome companion.

Archie
Archie is a 3-4 year old Doberman cross Rottweiler who was signed over to the rescue as his previous owners were unable to keep him. Archie is a highly intelligent dog who will require lots of exercise and stimulation. He is very friendly once he knows you but can be wary at first. Once trust is established he loves affection and TLC. Archie has been walked with many dogs at the rescue but would be more suited to living as the only dog in the home. A home with no children is a must for Archie as he needs a calm environment where he can build his confidence. He is a favourite amongst the staff as he has such a great character. A great boy who just needs a little bit of time to get to know you

Goldie
Goldie is a stunning lurcher who sadly after initially coming to us as a stray was returned as she was causing problems around livestock. Goldie is a super sweet lady who gets on well with other dogs and has lived with children. She would be more suited to living with a similar size dog and is currently sharing her kennel with another Lurcher Teegan. Goldie needs a home without small animals such as cats or rabbits and must not be allowed off lead around sheep.

Hank
Hank is a larger than life German Shepherd who came to the rescue as a stray. Hank is a strong boy and will need a home with experience of the breed. He is very friendly to his family members but can become protective within the household. For this reason a home without children is a must. Hank has yet to be tested with other dogs but does get quite barky when passing them on lead. However this could be just nerves so we will test this further during his stay with us.

Kai
Kai is a lovely 2 year old male white German Sheperd. He really is a brilliant example of the breed, however Kai does need a firm owner with experience as he is very strong and in his last home he did rule the roost a little. Kai has shown some problems with his female owner in his last home and can therefore not be homed with children. Kai may be more of a mans dog as no issues were ever shown with males visiting the home. We are yet to see any issues with him here at the rescue other than barking at passing dogs when on lead. He does need some lead work as he is a handful. For those with experience of the breed and willing to put work in with him, he will make an ideal companion.

Rafa
Rafa is a very handsome four year old Lurcher who was very reluctantly brought to the rescue with his buddy Buster as their owner was no longer in a position to keep them. They are a great pair who love attention, walk well on the lead and always give you a warm welcome. Their previous owner advised that they have been around children without any problems, are used to going in the car, but are not great fans of cats or other smaller animals. We are unsure of how they behave around other dogs but will be testing further during their stay with us. Rafa and Buster can be homed together or separately.

Tegan
Tegan is a striking male saluki cross who came to the rescue as a stray. Tegan is only quite young so will require a home where he has lots of play and stimulation. He seems ok around other dogs but perhaps may be more suited to living with canine companions of a similar size. We think Tegan has possibly been worked and we therefore would not home him with cats or other small pets. Other than this a sweet, affectionate and happy go lucky boy.
