At the sanctuary we currently have many lovely cats & kittens looking for family homes. What ever age you are looking for I am sure we kind find you the perfect pet. We have over 60 cats & kittens in our care at any one time, we also have many semi feral cats and kittens. These are looking for homes in stables or on small holdings where they can come and go as they please without having to have lots of human attention.
They are happy to live outside as long as you have somewhere where you can keep them in for up to six weeks initially to get them settled.
Some semi feral kittens we have in will be suitable to live in a home environment if there is someone who is experienced and willing to put in time and give them plenty of handling. It can be a slow process but once these cats trust you they can be extremely friendly.
Cat Homecheckers Appeal
Are you a cat lover, who has some spare time to help our charity out, as a volunteer?
If so we need your help to do some cat homechecks in your area.
One of our adoption policies is to do a home check before the cat goes to live in their new home, we also do this for dogs (so if you are a dog lover then please click here).
We like to make sure that the home is safe, not too close to a very busy road and
the living environment is right for one of rescue cats.
So we are on the search for cat home checkers, I hear you asking "what will it involve?"
Well it's simple really we will occasionally call you to ask if you are able to visit a home in your area, to see if it is suitable, we will give you the necessary
training, information and advice that is required and really thats all it is! Simple!
So if you think you can help us, please let us know, you can contact us by email on reception@ncar.org.uk or call us on 01745 560546 we look forward to hearing from you soon.
We really appreciate your support!
Adoption Donation
When you adopt a cat from us we do have an suggested adoption donation.
Adult cats - suggested adoption donation £60
This suggested adoption donations helps to cover veterinary fees and the cats care whilst at the sanctuary.
On reserving an animal, we will need a deposit of £10 per cat
We always do a homecheck on every cat which is adopted from the rescue. We need to make sure the garden is secure, that the home is suitable for a cat, and that you don't live next to a main road where the cat may be injured.
The adoption process shouldn't take much more than a week to be completed, homecheck included,
(this may vary by location).
* Please note - if you express an interest in an animal on this site, this does not mean you have reserved this animal - it only means that an interest has been noted on their notes - it still means you have to come to our rescue in person to see the animal
Please don't forget to visit our foster animals, as you may find your perfect match!
We have now separated our cats into groups - Please click on the links below to see your prefered size or age.
