As from the 6th April 2008, the police are no longer responsible for stray dogs. If a dog is missing and it is after 5 pm, a weekend or bank holidays then you will need to use these numbers instead:

All the stray Dogs, come to the rescue and will stay here for 7 days. This is the time given to the owner to come and claim their animals, and there is always a fine which has to be paid to the council. If after the 7 day period, the animal isn't claimed, then they will become the rescue's property and we will then find them a new home under our adoption scheme.
