NCAR Stray Block - Now Open

With thanks to our special guests, Kate & Gin from "Britains got Talent"
Our stray block was opened on 24th August 2009

We have funded this project in many different ways as follows:

“Buy a Brick Appeal”

This appeal has raised a fantastic £5000 and has really helped towards the building.

“It’s a dogs life”

We had over 20 volunteers, who slept like one of the dogs for the night in the new stray block, everyone was sponsored and we raised over £2500.

“Kate and Gin Fun day”

We had the pleasure of Kate and Gin from Britain’s got Talent visiting us to do the grand opening of the new block. We also had a fun day for everyone which again helped raise more money for the block.

“Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust”

We were very grateful when we received a grant from the Jean Sainsbury’s animal welfare trust, which really did help to pay for this building.

“Pets at Home Charitable Trust”

We also received a grant from Pets at home charitable trust of a fantastic £5000 for this building

So we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has you have donated money toward this new stray block. You have really helped the stray dogs in this area to stand a chance to find warmth and safety when they most need it!
