Hello to all at NCAR,

Its been a little over a year since we took home Geoff and I figured its about time that we gave you an update as to how we've been getting along.
When we first came to see Geoff, and the way I'm sure you guys remember him, he was a naughty little git, didn't care much for any human affection and wasn't too fond of other dogs.
Well he still doesn't like other dogs but the signs he wasn't otherwise like that were on show from the journey home. Within minutes of driving away he was lying on his back wanting some belly rubbing attention and he hasn't really looked back since. When home he wants nothing but love and attention. He does unfortnately rule the roost and he takes every advantage of the fact that we love him. He's gone from sleeping in the kitchen and having an extra bed on the floor in the living room, to having his own king sized bed in the spare room and climbing onto the couch or our bed whenever he wants some extra comfort or attention. He does have a fair few amount of pet hates when he's home. He barks at the follwing things when he's in the house....
- police/ambulance sirens whether on TV or in the street
- bird noises (especially seaguls) on TV
- other animals he can see from the window/garden (dogs/cats/rabbits/birds)
- helicopters on TV or flying over the house.
Strangly its only dogs and cats that he doesn't like when he's out walking. A police car can go by when he's walking and he doesn't bat an eye lid.
He loves to watch the football with his Dad and goes mad whenever Liverpool score. He loves going out for walks when it's sunny but absolutely hates it when its raining. We have to drag him out when its raining - even when he's wearing his coat. He never fouls in the house but he's sooner hold it in all day than go out in a light drizzle. Then when we do drag him out he generally does his business as quick as he can and then drags us back in. Once back inside he wont move from the mat until he's had a full rubdown with a warm towel to make sure he's bone dry.
He generally eats better than we do. As well as his buscuits he has plenty of fish - tuna, mackrell, salmon, and sardines are his favourite and likes nothing more than leftovers from a Sunday Roast for a special treat.
In summary, Geoff has become a very pampered and spoilt, very content with his lot in life, very happy rehomed baby pooch and we are very happy that you let him come home to live with us.
All our love and keep up the good work.
Matt, Ces and Geoff
