Frequently Asked Questions

Are all the animals you look after strays?

No! Although majority of our animals are strays we do have a few sign overs.

What is a sign over animal?

Signed over animals are animals who have been in a home enviroment that have been signed over to us by their owners for one reason or other, normally due to ill health of the owner.

I want to adopt a dog from you what is the rehoming process?

First you need to come visit us and fill out a dog enquiry form. Then you will be shown and encouraged to take the dogs you like for a walk, Once you have decided which dog you would like to be your companion, we will reserve the animal for you. We then arrange for a homecheck and providing the homecheck has passed you can come and pick up your bundle of joy to take home to spoil rotten!

Will you rehome any of your animals where there are small children?

We do not have any hard and fast rules regarding homing animals with children. It depends entirely upon whether the children are used to animals and are well supervised. Obviously, only some of our animals are suitable to be homed with children and we advise all prospective owners accordingly.

Is there an adoption fee?

Yes there is a minimal adoption fee of £90 - £120,per dog £40 per cat, £60 per kitten, £25 per Rabbit. It may seem a lot of money for a stray animal but this fee just helps to pay for neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, feeding, bedding and any other veterinary care.

I can't adopt an animal but would love to help out, would I be able to volunteer some of my spare time?

Of course, we'd love to hear from you please phone us on 0870 8507151 for further details on how you could volunteer with us
