Ending the stray dog problem – neutering and micro chipping
North Clwyd Animal Rescue are working towards the day when all pets can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
The neutering and micro chipping campaigns aim to tackle the huge problem of stray and abandoned pets in the UK to eventually put an end to the unnecessary destruction of ALL healthy pets:
By encouraging more people to neuter their pets we can greatly reduce the numbers of unplanned & unwanted litters of puppies & kittens being born every year.
Micro chipping your pet ensures that he can be easily identified if lost and returned to you instead of ending up in kennels.
Promoting responsible pet ownership
Throughout all our activities we aim to improve the lives of all pets in the UK.
By promoting responsible pet ownership through our campaigns and education work, we can reach not only this generation of pet owners, but the next as well, to encourage responsible pet ownership for years to come.
We ensure that the pets we rehome go to a suitable, loving home, and that their new owners have access to all the information they need to help their new friend settle in well.
Now there really is no excuse for anyone not knowing how best to look after their pet pals!
If you would like to book North Clwyd Animal Rescue to come out to visit your school, then please get in touch, as we would like to try to visit more schools and help educate the youth of today!
Our talks can be altered to suit your interest and age groups. 4 - 18 years
We often visit junior and high schools, where we spend around 1/2 hour in each class and then move on to the next class, we find a lot easier to talk and interact with smaller groups than 1 large group.
We usually bring 1 or 2 dogs with us, we talk to the group about many different areas as follows:
- How to care for your pets
- How to be responsible pet owners
- About who and what do as a charity
- Ways that schools can get involved
- Plus much more
If you would like to book a visit with NCAR please contact Nicky - nickyowen@ncar.org.uk - 01745 560546
We do not charge for our visits but if you can give a donation to help our charity or a collection of donated pet food from the children & teachers that would be fantastic and much appreciated.
